Word to the wise – though this should be relatively obvious – if you’re just starting wakeboarding, it’s way easier in flatter sea conditions. This was not a particularly flat day. Very hard on the legs and not that much trying to turn. It’s definitely much better when the sea is flatter.

If you’re just starting out, it would likely be a good idea to get some lessons. Unfortunately that doesn’t really happen down here so, if you’re learning in Tenerife, definitely watch some YouTube videos before going as the service offered by these guys doesn’t really cover much in the way of instruction. Then again, I guess you have to learn to stand up at some point and no amount of guidance is likely to make that part much easier.
