360VR guide: The Tünektepe Teleferik is located just a short way west of Antalya and really is a must-do if you want to see the city from a totally different perspective. Although the top station is just 605m, the views it affords over Antalya, the surrounding area and the towering Torus mountains are second to none. With a ticket price of just 15TRY for one / 20TRY for two (at time of writing), you’re not exactly going to break the bank getting there either (15TL is around £2 in July 2019). Take a tour to the Tünektepe Teleferik
By far the easiest way to get to the Tünektepe Teleferik is via organised tour which will include pick up and drop-off, saving you walking or taking public transport. Click below or here to book an organised excursion to the Tünektepe Teleferik.
Getting there and back on your own
Depending on where you’re staying in Antalya, it’s possible to walk (particularly from the Konyaalti beach area) – though the route does mean walking along the hard shoulder of a motorway. Beware Googlemaps for this – it will likely try to take you through a military zone (yep, I found this out personally). The only way to get there walking is by following the main road far around the harbour.
A better option would be to take a tour but, if you still want to do things by yourself, you can go by bus (the KL08 goes direct) or, alternatively, by taxi. Even from central Antalya (ie the old town), you can expect to pay around 60TRY (at time of writing, just short of £10). The same options apply for getting home – though it’s often not quite so easy getting a cab on the way back.
