This was the first time I’d even visited Palandöken/Ejder 3200 ski area so really wasn’t sure what to expect. This video shows the early season snow conditions across the resort – as well as the journey to get there from Tenerife through Portugal, Istanbul and then Erzurum.

Palandöken (also known as Ejder 3200) is located in the far east of Turkey, around 400km north of Syria, Iraq and Iran. The ski area is commonly regarded as Turkey’s best with some of the highest terrain in the country and Turkey’s longest ski piste. It also has a 5.6km floodlit piste for nightskiing.
