Los Lagos course, Golf Costa Adeje, Tenerife
We took a trip to the Los Lagos golf course in March 2021, taking a taxi from Costa Adeje (approximately 10€ each way) before stopping for lunch at the great restaurant located in the main club house.
The Los Lagos course has stunning sea views directly across to the neighbouring island of La Gomera and features six lakes, ravines and a stunning par three hole with a significant cliff drop. As a total beginner at golf, the course was testing enough for me though, apparently, it’s not that difficult. I guess that knowledge comes with time.

Los Lagos golf course at the Costa Adeje golf resort, Costa Adeje
There are many golf courses in South Tenerife but the Costa Adeje resort must surely be one of the most convenient at just ten minutes away from the main Costa Adeje accommodation. Prices are very reasonable for the 9 hole course (listed below) and it’s also possible to rent clubs, golf trolleys and buggies (carts) for an extra fee.
The Costa Adeje golf resort was designed by Pepe Gancedo and opened in 1976. The resort features a two-tier driving range as well as 9 hole and 18 hole courses. If you’re just getting started in golf, the 9 hole will probably be enough (it was for me) but it still has enough challenges for more experienced players. The 18 hole is apparently a good bit tougher.
Overheads of the 9 hole course are shown below.

Take the main TF1 motorway past Fanabe up to Adeje main town where you’ll see the course clearly signposted down to your left. It is also possible to the road closer to the coast in the direction of La Caleta.
