Considering artists booked to play this year’s MadCool had already been announcing they were canceling all live gigs months ago, it’s unclear why MadCool took so long to confirm the 2020 edition wouldn’t happen. Moreover, Coronavirus has ravaged Spain – with Madrid being one of the worst-hit cities in Europe – so, really, it was pretty clear there was very little chance the event would be allowed to go ahead.
Organisers have confirmed they hope to re-book all this year’s acts for the rescheduled MadCool 2021. Also, tickets for MadCool 2020 will carry over to 2021 – although a full refund should also be available if you don’t want to wait that long. Meantime, to book accommodation for 2021, use the form above. Although it’s a huge city, cheaper accommodation in Madrid is always harder to find in peak times like July – and MadCool makes things even busier.
