Korua has just released a new book titled, Ten Years of Turning. The book marks ten years of KORUA Shapes, capturing the journey from 2014 to 2024 through a stunning collection of photographs.
“Ten Years of Turning“ is a visual celebration that encapsulates the spirit, style and artistic essence of snowboarding that Korua has infused into the culture over the last decade. Much like the firm’s films, the images in this book aim to evoke a sense of energy and flow weaving together emotions that honour the act of snowboarding.
With minimal words, the pages recount the company’s story as seen through the lens of its talented in-house photographer, Aaron Schwartz, who has been documenting Korua’s journey for the past decade. Aaron says of the book:
“It is my hope and intention to capture and communicate the simple beauty of turning and movement on snow, the joyful emotions we all associate with snowboarding, the intricate details and subtleties of our surroundings in the mountains, the sense of community we feel, and the friendships and connections we build by sliding sideways down snow on a plank of wood. This is my tribute to turning, to my friends, and to Korua.”
