Through the last two seasons, I’ve been plagued with knee issues culminating in season 2023, the majority of which I had to sit out. Nonetheless, I was determined not to spend an entire winter in a ski area without at least one day on the hill.

Bansko skiing and snowboarding
Bansko offers great value for a ski resort – particularly when compared with its European counterparts – however, this should be tempered with an understanding that the ski area is also considerably smaller. Moreover, the lift pass price is expensive for the amount of terrain on offer – plus the queues for the base gondola can be horrendous through the February mid-terms.
